  • The ‘Virtual display stands’
    of Buckinghamshire's
    history, archaeology and heritage societies,
    and other organisations

The county's societies have provided a wide range of ‘virtual displays’ relating to the historic breweries, brewers, pubs, publicans of Buckinghamshire – and a maltster.

We cannot offer you the chance to stroll round their stands and exhibitions outside the conference hall this year, but let your mouse do the strolling through their pages below and we guarantee you will find things you didn't know about the local history of the county's ‘drinks trade’.

And here's a challenge: can you find which society's display stars Robert Kemp, the maltster born in Swanbourne in 1789?

Click on the society name to open their Virtual display stand...
